I went there with my girlfriend knowing it’s a very, very expensive place.
We ordered a four course meal and while waiting for or food, a solo diner on the next table asked us if we had been there before. We told him it was our first time there. “Get prepared for an outstanding experience”. He then explained that he’s from NYC and that he’s familiar with many of the best restaurants in NY, that in turn, are among the best in the world. Marmalade, he said was in that league and that every time he visited Puerto Rico, he made sure to go to Marmalade.
He was right. Marmalade is an outstanding experience. I liked it so much, that for Christmas I treated my sister and brother in law to a dinner in Marmalade.
Yes, it is ultra expensive, but if you are on a limited budget, just treat yourself to Marmalade once a year.
